This is the reason that brought me here a long time ago and of course is the reason that brings thousands of people every year: Enjoying water sports, mainly: Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and Surfing. The tremendous extension of the beaches of Tarifa, mainly the “Los Lances, Valdevaqueros and Bolonia”, their wildness, due to the strong environmental protection of the area, as well as its spectacular width, the quality of its fine sand, together with the meteorological conditions, perfect for the practice of these sports, make that experts and beginners of the multiple existing water sports schools, become of the main tourist promoters of the area.
East and west winds all year, good wave conditions especially in the winter season, the enormous width of the perfect beach for the coexistence and enjoyment of multiple sails and kites at the same time, are the main factors that make Tarifa a paradise for the practice of water sports. Within these water and nautical sports, we cannot forget: sailing, fishing, or diving, because the quality of the seabed is spectacular, difficult to match within the Iberian Peninsula. Simply around the “Isla de Las Palomas” ( which separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Mediterranean Sea ) in Tarifa, underwater diving becomes a practice of maximum International Quality. You can enjoy beautiful sea beds, a multitude of different animal species, including boats sunken as the San Andrés, wreck located 30 m deep and sunk in the nineteenth century, when colliding with an English ship.

But not everything is beach in Tarifa, the parks and natural landscapes that surround them, make the countryside around this area, an attraction, so important and at the level of the beaches, for lovers of natural environments.
For lovers of the countryside and natural environments, we certainly recommend our Villas de la Ahumada, located very close to the rate, exactly 10 km away. It takes 10-12 minutes by car to reach the town center and the beach. They are located in the middle of the natural park, in an incredible environment and inside the main cycle path of the Park.
Golf lovers can enjoy the fields of the Sotogrande area, half an hour’s drive from Tarifa in the East direction or from the Vejer or Chiclana area, another half hour in the West direction.
